Happy Tuesday everyone:)
I just wanted/needed a break from work, and cooking and removing carpets from the rooms, and cleaning all the scrap and thread mess. I'm already feeling a little tired from this schedule, but I did manage to do some sewing yesterday late at night (thank God that this new machine is not noisy at all, and I can work without disturbing the neighbors:)
I started to work on my cousin's photo album covers. So the first cover is almost done, it still needs some final touches and it will be finished. This photo album's theme was a Christening... so I decided to go with appliqued bunting:) I used some blue flannel and white cotton fabrics, and some scraps for the bunting. The dimension of the photo album is 37cmX37cmX7cm. I can't tell you how many hours (literally) I spent on calculating the dimensions of my pattern!! This is how it's turning out!! I do think that I should not make such a long T flap, I wish that when the album will be in the cover it will look much better, all bulky!!! But I do love the bunting on the flap, even though it's not so symmetrical:)
Now for this Tuesday things I love I just wanted to share with you some of the songs I'm listening while writing this post. Thanks to Fish Chris, I'm getting a little obsessed lately with Radiohead. And as I'm writing this now, I'm listening to a new song from their album King of Limps called Lotus Flower.
And also this one, called Codex, is just AWESOME. I know it sounds a little bit depressing (typical sound of Radiohead), but the video suits the song PERFECTLY!!! Please take a minute and watch it, you won't be disappointed, trust me:) pretty please!!!
Well I'm off to continue with my sewing. The second album's theme is my cousin's wedding. I was thinking of using this fabric, combined with some white. And another thought was to quilt the flap, by outlining the flowers, won't it look cute?? I would so love to hear your opinion on that:)
