Disaster in Screenprinting Land

Happy Week everyone!!! (fingers crossed)

Hope you had a good weekend. Remember I told you I would give you updates on my screenprinting experiment.  Well as you can tell from this post's header, it did not turn out good. Ohhh this is really embarrassing... The tutorial that I found at first was not so easy since I don't have an A-exact knife to cut my silhouettes and I made everything a complete mess with the textile colors, so I followed this video tutorial from ThreadBanger, which seemed easier and in addition I had all supplies necessary. This is the result!! Prepare yourselves, things are about to get ugly!!hehehehe

Seeee you can't even recognize the silhouettes, not even one owl is correct, not to mention the mushrooms (did you realize that the grey things are mushrooms???hehehehehe)  the only slight recognizable is the little birdie. Ooohhh what a mess!!!

But I refuse to give up!! I'll find the way to make this better.

If you have any suggestions, or tips, please feel free to mention them. I could use all the help I can get...

Happy Monday people!!

  1. Oooh, good luck with that. I have zero advice because I'm not talented like that, but I know you can do it. Encouragement beats bad advice, no? I'm following from the hop. Come visit me back!

  3. Try ironing freezer paper on the back before printing. It might help prevent the running. That and being extremely careful when you squeegee. I've seen it done so many times, and yet haven't braved it myself ever.
