the book of a scientist to be...Alex

TGIF!!! TGIF!! Gosh it's been such a rough week.  I'm so exhausted I can't even begin to describe you how painful this week has been.  But thank God it's Friday! Happy times!!! Project of the weekend is two hexagon trivets for my dear auntie. Fabrics have arrived, all I need to do is print out the pattern and start sewing.  But not now, now I wanted to share with you a book I've made almost a month ago for little Alexander a scientist to be (only one year old..sweetie!).
The book was ordered by a dear friend who would be the Godfather of Alex.  He specifically asked me to point out how strong this kid is already before turning 12 months old.  Here's my interpretation of strong..

Isn't it the cutest ever? I didn't make a tote bag this time, thought it was not appropriate for a little guy.  But I did make handles so he can carry it with him wherever he wants.  Though the book is so much larger than he is. I can't tell you how much I love making quiet books although as I've told you before they're so time stressful.
Well, I'm off to have myself a great dinner, you know spaghetti and meatballs! What are you making/sewing this weekend? I'd love to know.

Happy times!!
