Can you wear your plushie??? {wip}

hello hello hello!!!!

How are you? What have you been doing?? I missed you!!!!!!!!! It's been almost a week since my last post, I hate that  I can't find the time to post more often, and read what you've been up to!!! What am I going to do with this problem?? Do you have any tips on time management?

On another note, I'm sewwww excited!!! I have so many news to share with you!! I don't know where to start!! So I'll probably start from yesterday and backwards.  So, yesterday we visited me and Chris an exhibition on handmade things (tips/techniques/Greek suppliers) who was organized by two crafty girls who own the site www.ftiaxto.gr!! I just can't hide my excitement, cause stuff like this exhibition don't happen often in Greece (not to mention ever!!).  We had a great time in Xeirotexnika (name of the exhibition), we met fellow crafters who make amazing things!! It was super fun!!! When we came home, we worked on the surprise I've been talking to you about since last post...which I'll still not reveal!! All I can say is that it's coming out great, the pattern that Chris has prepared still needs some corrections... let's hope that I'll be able to sew it right!!!

So, on to another subject... apart from the custom orders I've been working on..  I've been feeling kinda crafty this week!! I had seen this cute tut on some heart shaped elbow patches from A beautiful mess... and I found it adorably cute!! I'm not an owner of a cardigan sweater, so when I saw the other day a friend from work wearing one hot pink/fuchsia I grabbed it!!! :D I told her that I would embellish her cardigan, but I didn't tell her what exactly I would be doing!!  The next day, I gave her her new sweater, and I can't describe you how excited she was!!!

But on the other hand, I am was (till Thursday evening) a proud owner of a really simple black long sleeve t-shirt which I wanted so bad to change it a little bit!!! And then it hit me!!! Can't I wear a plushie?? I think I can, don't you??

The girls at work loved it!!! They say that they'll find old shirts for me to embellish!! woot!! woot!!! Or better it's a hoot!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, I wish I could show you more of the custom order I'm working on, but it wouldn't be right for my friend!!! I'm currently working on a patchwork headband like this one, and hopefully by the end of the week I will be able to deliver her order!!! But what I can show you, is the Love-ly Frosty quilt!!! Yep!! I finally made a start!!! I still have one row to sew and the sky will be finished...

I'm making it slight larger!!! I'm melting over this little cutie!!!

So, I wish I could stay and keep uploading more photos...but I do have to get back to my little sewing-world!!!

Hope you have a great day!!! not rainy like here :(

  1. Hello Eleni! I have missed you too! Wow I'm happy for you because you were able to visit that exhibition yesterday! I have visited their site but didn't know about the exh. and Athens is now too far away for me.
    I feel the same - no time enough for blogging. But also I feel that I can't get much done anyway. How great that you have custom orders and work with so wonderful people who appreciate your creativity! I have a bag to make for my friend so lets sew - shall we! Have a great week!

  2. It sounds like you've had a pretty good week! So cool that you got to visit an exhibition of crafts things. We have craft shows around here all the time. I don't really ever go to them but I've been to a few. Love your shirt do ups, I love owls :)
    As to time management tips I'd say do what you can when you can. If you have customs to do you should do those first, since you are doing those for others (and they are paying you). I would also say that you don't have to try to do it all, all the time :)
