Help!!! I need your help:)!!!!

Happy Thursday everyone:)
I've missed talking to you these days with all this sewing!! It's been a long week till now, maybe it's because I'm officially on a summer break from work next Monday. I've started my countdown, but I think someone has stopped the time!!! It's still Thursday!!!uggghh!!!

Anyway, I managed to finish the front side of the pillow my friend from work has ordered {although to tell you the truth, I was not so much in the mood for sewing}.  I promised you there would be colors next time I would upload a photo.  Well, here it is, front side finished!! mmmmmm.... maybe it needs a few leaves more, but I think the biggest part is finished.

Isn't it a cutie?? What do you think?

And here comes the part where I need your help/opinion.  Would you machine stipple the front side?  Do you think it's too much?? I'm afraid that it won't turn out so great, and this will ruin the whole front side, {and honestly I cannot make another mistake--I'm running out of background fabric}!!! I've tried for the first time to free motion quilt, and this is what I managed to do.

I would so appreciate your opinion:) My heart says go for it!!! but my brain is telling me that I'm not good enough to pull this through!! So, what do you think??

Thank you !! thank you!! once again for all your help and support:)

Hope you're having a great day:)

  1. I say go for it! Thats what I did with my table runner. I felt I wasn't ready but I just bit the bullet and did it! And everyone loved it! You are super talented, Eleni! I know it will turn out great!!

  2. Hmmmmm.....Normally I'd say go for it, but I read a post recently (somewhere--don't remember) that the girl didn't want to stipple because she didn't want her pattern to get lost by the stitching. If you stick just to the background it should probably be ok. Or maybe some echo quilting? no matter what, that pillow is too adorable!

  4. There's nothing wrong with your stipple stitches! How to quilt, quilt as desired as the patterns say, is such a hard thing to decide! Sometimes I draw out different ways. For this, I think I would outline all the applique, very close, and then do straightline, diagonal grids on the background. But that's just my opinion...you have to do what you want!
