Have a nice week+weekly challenge update
Well it's been a really cold BUT creative weekend. I have made quite a progress with my weekly challenge (the circle quilt). I have sewn all circles on all squares, and have already arranged them.
Next step!!! assembling the squares. I'm terrified of this step to tell you the truth!!
What do you think?
I'd really love to read your comments.

I've been busy + A happy weekend
Hey there, I'm really sorry for not having posted anything since Thursday, but I've been busy with my parent's visit/day time job/ and lovely weekly challenge.
Just to give you a small update, I have already cut my 48 squares, ironed my light web interfacing and I am about to cut my 48 circles. Now, for the next part have to go downtown Athens to get me the quilt batting and also bias tape.

A little bit of Art
So after a very frustrating day at work, I come home to get on with my weekly challenge. I think my iron is calling me "press the fat quarters!! press the fat quarters".
But before that I would like to share with you one of my favorite sites ever, Feed Your Soul. It's a free art project, featuring many talented artists.
Don't forget to visit Indie Fixx as well. Jen is the soul of Indie Fixx and has many things to share with you. Actually, Indie Fixx is the first blog I ever followed. Such an inspiration!!!
Check it out if you like.

Weekly challenge update
Well it's day one of my weekly challenge and I have already carefully hand washed my fat quarters. When I come home from my day job hopefully they will be dry and I will be able to press them.
Tomorrow I have to start cutting them.
So, that's it for now!!have to go to work!!

Sneak peek of next week's challenge
Next week's project is inspired by Lovely Designs: the circle quilt which is I think quite easy to make. For this project I am using these two bandles Rainy Days and Just Dreamy both by Riley Blake. The colors are so bright and beautiful and remind me of Spring finally coming.

Introducing my weekly challenge
Though I really enjoy sewing there are times when I prefer to spend hours playing on fb or just hang around rather than keep a good track of my free time. So I have made this little challenge for myself to create something new every week. I believe that this will help me:
- be more inspired,
- be a much better sewer,
- share much more beautiful projects with you.
I know that this is a great commitment for me, as I know that I tend to like something very much for a short time and then let it pass. So, this will actually help me be a better person.

Handmade cushion cover
I finished my first cushion cover, inspired by the beautiful book Scandinavian Stitches by Kajsa Wikman which is perfect for first time sewers as myself. I absolutely adore all the projects in this book.
